Welcome to the web site for Holly Springs, NC. We are a "big, small town" and are definitely on the move. In 1990, we were approximately 1000 in population and today we are near 12,000. In the next 5 years, predictions are around 20-25,000. Most refer to Holly Springs as the "fastest growing town" in North Carolina. With fast growth come opportunities. News from Town Hall will keep you up to date with some of the changes to look forward to.
Additional plans include a library and cultural arts center, another park behind the elementary school (Jones Park), two new pharmacies, another grocery store, a new town hall, a new shopping center (small) adjacent to town hall, updating our industrial park, new restaurants, a new medical center, and much more!
The most important element in any town is its people. We are proud of our citizens and also proud of our Town Staff and our Town Board. Our goal is to plan together, work together, and continue to make Holly Springs a great and safe place to live. We want our town to be the most "customer friendly" town in the state, not only to our own citizens but those who wish to do business with us.
Current issues include marketing to additional businesses and light industry to join our town. Much progress is being made. We are also working on trying to find alternatives for the School Reassignment Program (we want our kids to go to our schools wherever possible), the TOTAL competition of the I-540 Loop, future needs for water, sewer, and garbage, close working alliances with our neighbors in Fuquay-Varina, Apex, and other "smaller" towns in our area.
We are proud of our heritage, our current direction, and our future. We welcome you and we welcome your input. If it's good for the kids, it's good for Holly Springs!
